the great urban race: {part two}

The rules of the race stated we could NOT use a car...but we COULD use public transportation.  We were so glad to use the bus because our clues were spread out all over downtown Austin.

One challenge was to lasso a bull!  Andrew & Matt did a great job on their first try!

At one point, when we had finished finding all the clues, we realized that we missed the last bus in our area.  We had to walk the whole way back...not a fun task when we knew we were finished.  But it was fun to enjoy Austin and really see the city.

We just barely did it, but we finished!!  Even while missing the last bus, a baby, baby stuff, and bulky costumes!

We were so happy to finish in time!  What do you think about our costumes?  There was a prize for the best costume...Andrew & I made the final top 5...but Homer & Marge Simpson took the prize.  It was pretty clever.  
How did we do on replicating the Walquists old Halloween costume?

Ian really was a trooper the whole time.  We think he enjoyed all the hustle and being outside to watch.  There was a lot to take in!

We thoroughly enjoyed the great urban race!  It is spread out all over, so if you have a chance, sign up and go!  It may even give you an excuse to visit a local city nearby.  You won't regret it!
