We headed to Paris through the English Channel
on the...

As soon as we got to Paris, we spent the afternoon at the Louvre,

where we saw the Mona Lisa...

toured the gardens...

and ended up at the Eiffel Tour.

We stayed at a wonderful hotel in Paris' Latin Quarter.
In the Five Hotel, each room is designed by a local modern art student.
Our room was small, but gorgeous!

The next morning, we walked to a cafe and had a French "breakfast".

As you can see...according to French standards,
breakfast is considered:
coffee, croissant, and orange juice.

The breakfast wasn't much..but the coffee...
Let's just say...it really got us going!

After our jolt of caffeine, we headed to the Eiffel Tour.

What an architectural masterpiece!

Next stop, the Musee d'Orsay where we saw artists such as...
Claude Monet, Vincent van Gogh, Degas, Pissarro, Renoir, Cezanne, Manet,
Mary Cassatt, Rodin, and many more.

We LOVED this museum and spent more time here than we planned!
Andrew and I shopped the busy Champs de Elysees street,
and ended up at the Arc de Triomphe.
We climbed up 292 steps to reach the top!

The view from the top was incredible.
Paris at night is...breathtaking.

We saw many more sights, but I had to consolidate.
Here are some more pictures of Paris sights...

Sacre Coeur/Montmartre is known for it's art galleries.
Famous artists such as; Pisarro, Degas, Matisse, Renoir,
and Pablo Picasso once lived here and now it is a vast art district.
Andrew and I purchased some paintings from local artists.
We can't wait to put them up on our walls in our new house (someday).

We loved eating French food!
It was incredibly rich with flavor and textures.

We had fabulous French wines,
and even Andrew tried...escargot!

The Berthillon ice cream shop on the Ile St. Louis
had tons of flavors to choose from! It was rich and creamy!
Unlike anything we'd ever experienced.
Now that's what I call ice cream!

Our final day in Paris we took a day trip to Versailles to see the
Chateau of Versailles.

The hall of mirrors...

The gardens were incredible!

We stumbled upon this McDonalds in Paris...
check out how nice it is!
We had coffee and dessert to end the night.

Time to say good-bye...

We loved our entire experience abroad.
Each place had its own uniqueness,
but overall, we were in awe of how creative our God is.
He created an incredible world, each place unlike the another.
Rich culture, incredible beauty, even diverse languages
are marks of our highly intelligent and creative God, who is...
indescribable.
